Netflix triplica sus beneficios en los últimos 9 meses

Netflix obtuvo un beneficio neto de 373,4 millones de dólares (317 millones de euros) en los nueve primeros meses del año, una cifra que representa una mejora del 211,4% respecto al mismo periodo del ejercicio precedente, informó la compañía estadounidense de distribución de películas y series 'online', que incrementó en 5,3 millones su base de usuarios, hasta los 109,25 millones.

La facturación del responsable de títulos como 'Stranger Things', 'House of Cards' o 'Narcos' alcanzó entre enero y septiembre una facturación de 8.406,9 millones de dólares (7.146 millones de euros), un 32,3% más que un año antes.

En el tercer trimestre, Netflix obtuvo un beneficio neto de 129,59 millones de dólares (110 millones de euros), un 151,5% más que en el mismo periodo de 2016, mientras sus ingresos sumaron 2.984,8 millones de dólares (2.538 millones de euros), un 30,3% más.

Entre julio y septiembre, Netflix incrementó su base de usuarios en 5,3 millones, hasta un total de 109,25 millones de usuarios, con un aumento de 850.000 en EEUU y de 4,45 millones en el resto del mundo.

De cara al cierre del ejercicio, la compañía confía en ganar 6,3 millones de suscriptores en el último trimestre del año, hasta un total de 115,55 millones.

Por otro lado, la empresa adelantó que en 2018 espera invertir entre 7.000 y 8.000 millones de dólares (5.949 y 6.799 millones de euros) en la producción de contenidos.
